<li><strong>You can be self employed:</strong> This is a choice  that is increasingly being denied to other health care providers such as optometrists and even  GPs . Big Business controls a lot of health practices. Consider how often you see an independent optometrist these days – can they compete on price with the multinational chains?</li>
<li><strong>Legal Issues:</strong> In Australia (unlike the USA where things are very different), podiatrists very, very rarely  face malpractice suits. The nature of podiatry practice does not lend itself to accidentally harming one’s patients. Also, you never have to give your  clients  the bad news that their condition will be terminal.</li>

<p>People spend a lot of money on the creation of their logo and walk away with no artwork files. Then a couple months down the track when they need to put signage on their new building they cannot track the design studio down that created the original logo for them and so incur costs to have it redone. This is redundant and may cause complications when trying to replecate the logo exactly as created originally.</p>
<p>We have created some basic tips you for to think about when creating a logo. Hopefully these will help you from experiencing any future obstacles.</p>
<p><strong>Tip 1<br /></strong>First things first - you need to decide if you would like your logo to have an accompanying icon. It is advised that if your service or product name is not in your business name then perhaps an icon will assist in conveying a clear message across to your target audience.</p>

<p>There is only one way to thwart this from happening and that is to set up a style guide. Not only will a style guide aid you conduct the reproduction of your logo - it will also help you fortify your brand recognition – which many argue is one of the strongest selling tools.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The typical question customers ask when acquiring a new projector for the home, office, or classroom is: should I take an LCD projector or a DLP projector? LCD, short for ‘liquid crystal device’ and DLP, standing for ‘digital light processing’ are the two top projector imaging technologies. With so many business brands and different types available, it can be confusing for consumers to make a decision between the two technologies. It comes down to the fact that LCD projectors offer superior image quality and colour accuracy. The following article explains why DLP projectors struggle with reproducing a comparable grade of image quality.</p>
<p>Think of a set of blinds in your home over your bedroom window. By a twist of a rod you can have the shutters open or closed, according to if you want to let light in or not. And this is exactly how an LCD projector operates. Each pixel works like an individual shutter on a set of blinds to either pass light through or to block it. DLP on the other hand is made up of millions of microscopic mirrors or ‘pixel elements’ as the pros like to call them. Each pixel element works to either reflect light or block it.</p>
<p>How the light source is processed from the point when the projector switches on to when the image reaches your screen is ultimately important with regard to image quality, brightness and colour accuracy. LCD projectors project white light from the lamp by dividing it into red, blue and green components, by three mirrors which transfer the coloured light to 3 stand alone LCD panels. The 3 LCD panels cast the elements of the image by shining each pixel on and off. The pixels are then meshed in a glass prism to create the projector image. An important point to understad about LCD projectors is that all three colours are projected onto your screen at once. The way a DLP projector functions is totally different and even how an image shows up is not the same. With DLP, white light from the lamp is projected through a spinning colour wheel with transparent red, blue and green segments, at speeds up to 11,000 rpm/s. This method of projecting an image creates a sequence of red, blue and green light. The millions of micro mirrors described above reflect the coloured light on the pixels to form the image elements. The elements of the image are projected in sequence on the screen, one colour at a time. The viewer&#8217;s vision will then put together each coloured element of the image into the single total image. With LCD projectors, all colours are available all the time to form the best brightness and spectacular colour accuracy. In DLP, only one colour is available at any given time, causing lower colour brightness and accuracy. Some DLP manufacturers have put a white segment in the colour wheel to improve general brightness, but this goes and degrades colour accuracy.</p>
<p>I find in forums all the time that DLP gives a higher contrast ratio and ergo must be superior. For those who don&#8217;t know, the contrast ratio is a measure of a display system defined as the ratio of the luminance of the brightest white to that of the darkest black that the machine is able to produce. DLP projectors do offer high contrast specifications compared to the majority of LCD projectors. At first glance, this seems to be a plus, however, in real life, the true black level is determined by the ambient light in the room when the projector is being utilised. Do not be duped by contrast specifications on websites and in brochures.</p>
<p>When the content you wish to view needs moving images, DLP projection technology can also have image marks, or ‘artifacts’. The most commonplace artifact that a DLP projector displays with moving images is colour break up. Colour break up is to be expected in DLP systems because moving images keep changing between the time red, blue and green colours are displayed. LCD projectors do not have this characteristic because all the colours are projected simultaneously. DLP builders have created 3DLP solutions using 3 chips to fix the colour break up problem, but the expense of these projectors make them almost impossible for the large part of businesses and consumers.</p>
<p>Another difference between LCD and DLP is how they balance for the refractive qualities of light. Jump back to high school science, and remember how different colours of light refract various amounts when shone through the same lens. The problem with DLP projectors is that they use the one same panel and the same lens to project Red, Blue and Green. All 3 colours are not the same and refract light at different levels. Generally with a DLP projector, some yellow colour will appear above and a spill of blue will show below an image of something as simple as a straight black line. While being built LCD projectors can be adjusted to remove these effects on the projected image, as each colour is processed on isolated LCD panels.</p>
<p>The one real plus (excluding price) with buying a DLP projector is its smaller total size and weight. However, this is only relevant in regard to transporting the device and needs to be traded off against the image superiority of LCD projectors. If the result of the picture quality is vital to you, then the decision is easy. Go for an LCD projector! LCD projectors will constantly create bright, colourful images with fewer image errors. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As the Dutch rose to dominance in sea power during the 17th century, the early yacht was a leisure craft used initially by royalty and later by the burghers for the canals and the protected and unprotected waters of the Low Countries. Racing was incidental, arising as private challenges. English yachting began with King Charles II of England during his exile in the Low Countries. On his return to the English throne in 1660, the city of Amsterdam gave him a 20-metre (66-foot) pleasure boat with a beam (maximum width) of 5.6 m (18 feet), which he called Mary. Charles and his brother James, the duke of York (James II, reigned 1685–88), built more yachts and in 1662 raced two of them from the Thames, from Greenwich, to Gravesend, and back, on a Â£100 wager. Yachting was found to be popular among the rich and aristocracy, but after that period the habit did not last.</p>
<p>The first yacht group in the British Isles, the Water Club, was started around about 1720 at Cork, Ire., as a cruising and unofficial coast guard association, with large naval panoply and rigour. The closest thing to racing was the “chase,” for which the “fleet” pursued a fictional enemy. The club persisted, for the large part as a social club, until 1765, and in 1828, by conglomerating with other clubs, it became known as the Cork Yacht Club (later the Royal Cork Yacht Club).</p>
<p>Yacht racing was first seen in some organized method on the Thames around the mid-18th century. The duke of Cumberland instigated the Cumberland Fleet for Thames racing in 1775. When George IV ascended to sovereignty in 1820, it came to be known as the Fleet to His Majesty&#8217;s Coronation Sailing Society. The Thames Yacht Club seceded after a racing argument, to become the Royal Thames Yacht Club in 1830. The first English yacht club had been formed at Cowes on the Isle of Wight in 1815, and royal funding made the Solent - the strait between the mainland and the Isle of Wight - the perpetual site of British yachting. The club at Cowes became the Royal Yachting Club, likewise at the accession of George IV. Every member was required to own boats of at least 20 tons (20,321 kg). Sailing races for large stakes were held, and the club life was lovely. It came to be that the Royal Yachting Club boats were raised in size to over 350 tons.</p>
<p>In North America, yachting started with the Dutch in New York in the 17th century and went on when the English held power. Sailing was mostly for fun and found its high point in George Crowinshield&#8217;s Cleopatra&#8217;s Barge (1815), which traveled on the Mediterranean Sea and created a minimum of luxury and elegance for the later yachts in the area from the late 19th century. The first enduring American yacht association, the Detroit Boat Club, was started in 1839. In 1844, John C. Stevens instigated the New York Yacht Club aboard his schooner Gimcrack.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of sailboats<br /></strong>Early sailing yachts took the lines of such naval craft as brigantines, schooners, and cutters from the 17th century until the later half of the 19th century. The design of sizeable yachts was initially largely put upon by the win of America, which was created by George Steers for a association led by John C. Stevens, and it was the boat for which the America&#8217;s Cup (q.v.) was named after its victory at Cowes in 1851. Early yachts were not designed and manufactured in a contemporary sense, with just a model for an outline. Not until the second half of the 19th century did what was called naval architecture come about. Not until the 1920s did the employment of the research of aerodynamics do for the structure of sails and rigging what such science had done earlier for hulls.</p>
<p>Because most of all sailboats had to be individually built, there was a need for handicapping boats previous to the one-design class boats were made. Therefore, a rating rule was decreed, which ended up in the International Rule, adopted in 1906 and revised in 1919. In the present day, one of the fastest flourishing areas in the field of sailing is that of one-design class boats. All boats in a one-design class are manufactured to the same dimensions in length, beam, sail area, and other areas (for an example of a two-person sailboat, see illustration). Racing those boats can be had on an even basis with no handicapping at all. A great example is the uniform International America&#8217;s Cup Class taken on board for yachts in the 1992 America&#8217;s Cup race.</p>
<p>For the time that yachting belonged largely for the nobility and the wealthy, money was no problem, and the size of boats developed, in both length and weight. The ascendancy and desire of smaller craft came in the second half of the 19th century out of the sailing of the Englishmen R.T. McMullen, a stockbroker, and E.F. Knight, a barrister and journalist. A journey around the world (1895–98) captained single-handedly by the naturalized American captain Joshua Slocum in the 11.3-metre Spray made plain the seaworthiness of smaller craft. Later in the 20th century, particularly after World War II, smaller racing and pleasure yachts became more popular, down to the dinghy, a popular training boat, of 3.7 m. In the late 20th century, boats of less than 3 m were traveled in single-handedly across the Atlantic Ocean.</p>
<p><strong>Kinds of power yachts<br /></strong>After the decade 1840–50, during which steam started to emulate sail power in commercial boats, the steam engine, and later the internal-combustion engine, were increasingly used in pleasure boats. Bigger power yachts were progressed to a high element, and long-distance travel turned into a preferred pastime of the affluent. The earliest power yachts were paddle-wheel boats; they then gave way to those powered by the wholly submerged screw or propeller type of propulsion. As in the case of naval and merchant craft, auxiliaries possessing both sail and power were the yacht fashion for many years. By the latter half of the 20th century, many yachts were still auxiliaries, but the larger part were solely power yachts containing gasoline or diesel engines.</p>
<p>From the last decade of the 19th century there was a boom in the design of bigger steam yachts. Notably among these was the Mayflower (1897) of 2,690 tons, with triple-expansion engines, twin screws, and a compartmented iron hull, and was operated by a crew of more than 150. The Mayflower, purchased by the United States Navy in 1898, was the official yacht of the president of the United States until 1929 and saw active service in World War II.</p>
<p>As more sizeable and more dependable internal-combustion engines were created, many large yachts started using them for power. The establishment of the diesel engine, employing heavy oil for fuel, was furthered from World War I. From the decade after, bigger power-yacht building flourished, climaxing in the Orion (1930) at 3,097 tons. During that point the largest auxiliary yacht built was the four-masted, steel, barque-rigged Sea Cloud (1931) of 2,323 tons.</p>
<p>The building of bigger power yachts lessened after 1932, and the fashion thereafter was toward smaller, less pricey yachts. From World War II, lots of small naval vessels were bought by private owners for conversion to yachts. By the late 20th century, yachting is a globally loved sport enjoyed by thousands of yachtsmen personally owning and keeping their own small recreational boats. The number of craft and sailors increased steadily, not only in the traditional locations on the sea but also on inland waterways and lakes.</p>

A proportional tax is one that impinges the same relative requirement on all taxpayers—i.e., in the case where tax liability and income increase in equal scale. A progressive tax is recognisable by a more than proportional rise in the tax liability relative to the increase in income, and a regressive tax is recognisable by a less than proportional growth in the related liability. Hence, progressive taxes are regarded as reducing inequalities in income distribution, but regressive taxes are seen to cause an increase in these inequalities.</p>
<p>The taxes that are often thought to be progressive include individual income taxes and estate taxes. Income taxes that are nominally progressive, however, might become less so within the upper-income group—particularly if a taxpayer is permitted to lower his tax base by declaring deductions or by excluding certain income parts from his taxable income. Proportional tax rates if applied to lower-income demographics can also be more progressive if personal exemptions are claimed.</p>
<p>Income measured over the course of a given year might not absolutely give the most appropriate measure of taxpaying requirement. For example, transitory increases in income can be saved, and during temporary declines in income a taxpayer may decide to provide for consumption by reducing savings. <p>It is not easy to dictate corporate income taxes and taxes on business as progressive, regressive, or proportionate, principally due to a lack of certainty regarding the ability of businesses to shift their tax expenses (see below Shifting and incidence). The pattern of average rates is the one that is important for considering the distributional equity of taxation. Under a progressive income tax the average income tax rate rises with income. Average income tax rates commonly increase with income, both because personal allowances are granted for the taxpayer and dependents and also due to that marginal tax rates are graduated; on the other side of things, preferential treatment of income received predominantly by high-income households may dwarf these effects, producing regressivity, as displayed by average tax rates that lessen as income rises.</p>
